friday favorites
Happy Friday! I'm obsessed with peonies.. they look so soft and fluffy that I kind of want to sleep on a bed of them (is that weird?). I love white and light pink peonies, but I think my favorite are these hot pink, totally awesome ones that pretty much make up the entire look of this oh so amazing wedding in the California wine country. This couple stayed pretty simply with their decor, letting the natural back drop speak for itself. The stationary is abso-fricken-lutely adorable and the chandeliers above the kings tables? So right.

growing up and growing old
I think I've officially found my favorite bridal party shot ever. This couple has been together since grade school and are as cute as can be. This picture looks straight out of a movie, so vintage chic and utterly perfect. I guess it helps that everyone looks like models but regardless, they all look so excited for the new happy couple. Kinda makes me wish I was in the shot too (even though I have no idea who these people are).

playing games
I've been hardcore slacking and will continue to do so until things calm down a bit (why you ask? new job, birthday, life...) but I thought I'd leave ya'll with these adorable lawn games. Obsessed with the monogramed cornhole! I want.

obsessed.
So last week I was scouring the blog world for my friday favorites when I came across this wedding. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement because I'm pretty sure this is the most fabulous wedding I've ever seen. I LOVE the fringe detailing... a totally unexpected twist to the rustic styling. Now I want to go out and buy a fringe piece for my wardrobe (but don't worry, I'd never subject myself to those nasty boots you see everywhere)!

okay jose
I almost feel like a cliche for writing this entry because anyone who is familiar with the wedding industry knows that Jose Villa is the best of the best, but I just had to share his pictures with you. Honest to god, any time I'm dying over a wedding, it ends up being one of his. He has a way of capturing anything from an intimate moment between the newlyweds to a door frame in Cuba and making it a true masterpiece. It's my ultimate dream to have him capture my wedding, and luckily I have a LONG time to save my pennies and make that come true! xoxo PS: I might have to steal this baby. OBSESSED.

watercolor
I came across this awesome watercolor painting of this girl on Erin Ever After and I knew an event based off watercolor could be amazing. Summer is officially over (tear) but bright colors are still making a bold statement so this was pretty easy to design. And how cool are these seating cards? So different and so fabulous. Hopefully one day I'll get to work with a bride brave enough to want something like this for her wedding day.

friday favorites
I'm off to Dewey Beach straight after work tomorrow so I won't have time to post my friday favorites, so here it is. The color palette for this wedding is absolute perfection. Seriously I cannot think of anything better. Another favorite element? The groom and groomsmen attire. These guys look so dashing in their grey suits and black ties. So relax and enjoy these lovlies, but better yet, enjoy your long weekend.. I know I will.

let them eat cake
I've never been a huge fan of cake. Froyo, brownies, cupcakes.. yes please! But cake? Eh, no thanks. I guess I've always assumed I would do something other than cake on my wedding day (unless my future groom is a die hard cake fan, in which case maybe he'd have a say ;-) but this week I came across some amazing cakes and it seriously has me reconsidering my thought process. Not only does the one dripping in chocolate look unbelievable but the design elements you can add to a cake make it a focal point of it's own. So maybe one day I'll have a cake, but you better believe I'll have PinkBerry there as well.
