Such a tease

Five years ago, my great friend from college (shout out to you, Meaghan!!), taught me one of life's most important skills--how to tease my hair. I'm kidding on the "most important" part (kind of), but coming from someone who has smooth hair that is impossible to style and has no volume, this has been a life saver. While I may look like a buffoon in the proccess, I can actually somewhat style my hair now. Yay for that! Here are some of my favorite hairstyles, and most of these you could defintely rock at your wedding.

How amazing is this Double Faceted Peruvian Opal Ring by Jamie Joseph?! I spotted it on Pinterest (seriously, someone get me off that site) and have been dreaming about it ever since. Too bad it costs nearly my entire pay check. But hey, that's why it's on my wish list.

I've missed my friday favorites for the past couple of weeks so here is one STUNNING wedding to make up for it. Not only is this color palette my favorite combination ever, but everything from the rock candies to the cake is perfection. And I hope Santa reads my blog, because I am loving those amazing bridesmaid shoes!

My sister sent this to me via Pinterest today saying, "This is the only reason I wish I was engaged." I have to say, I kind of agree. Amazeballs. How perfect is this for a casual bride who has a family that can take a joke?! I'm pretty sure our grandparents would be rolling in their graves if Lisa ever sent something like this out, but I, on the other hand, would be loving it. I dare ya, Lisa.

what it's all about

There were so many stunning weddings this week so I thought choosing my Friday Favorites would be tough. But, then I came across this touching wedding that was bursting with love and all about the celebration of two families uniting, and I knew I wanted to share. Attending were only 20 of the couple's closest family members and everyone got to sit at the same table and celebrate together. It really is beautiful, and makes you stop and remember why everyone travels from all over, just to celebrate the love between two people. This is why I chose to pursue my dream of becoming a wedding planner... because I want to help create the most important day of two people's lives. What could be better than that?

it's beginning to look a lot like...

If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, then you've certainly learned two things in the past few days... It snowed in October, and Starbucks has their holiday cups out. So I figured it was only appropriate to make my first Holiday post, even though there are still over three weeks until Thanksgiving (whatever, it snowed)! This winter is supposed to be freakishly cold so thank goodness I bought my first puffy jacket last week (super cute and doesn't make me look like a marshmallow.. hooray!). But seriously, how the heck did I survive last winter without it?
